Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use FullBlackScreen.org, why it is processed, which third parties may receive it, and how you can control optional cookies and advertising choices.

FullBlackScreen.org is an independently operated website. It does not require an account and does not upload or save the results of your display tests.

Information You Do Not Need to Provide

The display tools work without registration, payment, file upload, or submission of a test result. The website does not intentionally ask for your name, postal address, phone number, payment details, or device serial number.

Please do not put sensitive personal information in public GitHub issues or page URLs.

Hosting, Security, and Necessary Processing

Hosting, content-delivery, and security providers such as Cloudflare and Vercel may process ordinary request and diagnostic data needed to deliver and protect the website. Depending on the request, this can include:

  • IP address and approximate network location
  • Browser, operating system, and device type
  • Requested URL, referring page, date, and time
  • Security, error, performance, and abuse-prevention signals

The website also stores your cookie preference in browser local storage. This necessary preference prevents the consent question from being shown on every page and can be changed through “Cookie Settings” in the footer.

Cookieless Aggregate Analytics

FullBlackScreen.org uses Plausible Analytics through analytics.faceless-reels.io to measure aggregate traffic. This lightweight measurement loads on each visit but does not use cookies, browser local storage, or persistent identifiers and does not track people across websites or days.

Plausible processes the visited page, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, and coarse geographic information derived from the request IP address. According to Plausible's data policy, raw IP addresses are not stored and a daily salt is used so the resulting aggregate identifier cannot be used to follow a visitor across days. Learn more in the Plausible Data Policy.

Optional Analytics

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity load only after you select “Accept analytics.” If you choose “Reject optional analytics,” these analytics scripts are not loaded by this website.

When enabled, analytics can process page visits, device and browser details, approximate location derived from IP address, referral data, interaction events, and performance information. Microsoft Clarity may also record masked page interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation so that usability problems can be investigated.

Analytics providers may use identifiers, cookies, local storage, web beacons, or IP addresses. Common first-party cookie names include _ga, _ga_*, _clck, and _clsk. Provider practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy and Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Advertising and Google AdSense

FullBlackScreen.org may use Google AdSense to fund the free tools. When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies in your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers because ads are served on the site.

Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve and measure ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites, subject to your consent choices and applicable law. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

You can manage Google personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Other advertising vendors, if enabled, will be identified in the applicable consent message and may provide their own opt-out controls.

Consent and Privacy Choices

Google Consent Mode defaults advertising storage, advertising user data, ad personalization, and analytics storage to denied. The site updates analytics consent only after you make a choice.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, advertising consent must be collected through Google Privacy & messaging or another Google-certified consent management platform before eligible personalized ads are served. That message identifies participating advertising technology providers and provides advertising consent controls.

Use “Cookie Settings” in the footer to accept, reject, or later change the optional analytics choice. Rejecting analytics updates the consent signal and removes the site's accessible Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity cookies. Browser settings can also block or delete cookies and local storage.

Data Sharing and Personally Identifiable Information

The website does not sell personal information. Data may be processed by the infrastructure, analytics, and advertising providers described above for site delivery, security, measurement, consented analytics, and advertising.

FullBlackScreen.org does not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other directly identifying information to Google in page URLs, analytics events, or advertising requests. The site does not build advertising audiences from sensitive information or child-directed activity.

Retention, Security, and International Processing

FullBlackScreen.org does not maintain its own user account or test result database. Infrastructure, analytics, and advertising providers retain data according to their configurations, legal obligations, and published policies. Data may be processed in countries other than the one where you live.

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect the website, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children's Privacy

The website is a general-audience display utility and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or use child-directed activity for personalized advertising.

Your Rights and Contact

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or information about personal data processing. Because most processing is performed by the providers identified above, a request may need to be directed to the relevant provider.

You may also start through the website's Contact page. Do not post sensitive information in a public issue.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when providers, website features, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
